Job Purpose
This role will be responsible for the management of all Container Park’s assets with a focus on maximizing availability, reliability, safety and value. The role is also responsible for compliance with all statutory obligations, contractual obligations and operational and performance objectives.
Key Accountabilities
- Ensure a servicing/maintenance schedule is developed and adhered to for all assets
- Manage the relationship with the service provider and regularly review and ensure SLAs are being met
- Maintain scheduled services through provider and ensure timely servicing to avoid machine downtime with no operational impact
- Track usage hours of equipment and monitor and report on excess hour usage, ensuring accurate logging and accountability
- Verify invoices against completed jobs and cross-check actual work completed against quotes to identify discrepancies or overcharges
- Ensure all maintenance activities comply with relevant safety regulations Maintain up-to-date service records for audits and inspections
Qualifications, Skills and Experience
The successful candidate will possess the following:
- Minimum 10 years’ experience working in an asset role in a heavy equipment industrial environment
- Extensive knowledge of heavy plant and equipment maintenance planning best practices, procedures and systems
- Working knowledge of related legislation, plant and equipment regulations
- Proven strong leadership and interpersonal skills
- Strong negotiations skills
- High level of understanding of financial concepts and principles Proven analytical skills
