The opportunity to join our team
We’re seeking a driven and experienced Risk & Compliance Manager to join our Risk team and provide high-quality support across all facets of operational risk and regulatory compliance. You’ll work closely with senior leaders within the Wrap business to embed a strong risk management culture, implement robust frameworks and ensure compliance with changing legislative requirements. This role is hands-on, dynamic, and integral to delivering sustainable and compliant outcomes for our clients. Key Responsibilities:
- Partner with leaders to provide strategic advice on regulatory, risk, and compliance matters.
- Lead the implementation and continuous improvement of risk and compliance frameworks across the division.
- Embed and promote a strong risk and compliance culture through education and engagement.
- Manage and monitor 1st Line risk practices, ensuring risk issues are identified and appropriately prioritised.
- Support the business in applying and maintaining the Risk Management Framework.
- Identify and assess regulatory changes and provide actionable guidance for implementation.
- Review member communications, disclosure documents, and marketing materials for compliance.
- Provide technical advice to support decision-making and regulatory interpretation.
- Contribute to project risk oversight, ensuring initiatives align with compliance obligations.
- Prepare risk reporting and insights for executive leaders, boards, and regulatory bodies.
What you will bring:
- Tertiary qualification in a relevant discipline or equivalent practical experience.
- Relevant qualifications such as RG146, a Diploma of Superannuation Management, or equivalent certifications are highly regarded.
- Extensive experience in operational risk and compliance, ideally within superannuation or financial services.
- Strong understanding of legislative and regulatory requirements across super, managed investments and IDPS.
- Advanced ability to interpret and apply complex regulatory reforms.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including stakeholder engagement.
- Strong leadership presence with the ability to influence and support senior leaders and teams.
- Demonstrated ability to deliver in a fast-paced and regulated environment.
- Strong ethical standards and commitment to delivering client-focused outcomes.
- Organised, analytical and confident navigating ambiguity and driving continuous improvement.
