The opportunity
We’re looking for a strategic and analytical leader to join us as Manager, Performance and Planning. This role is central to shaping our direction and operational success by leading business planning, performance reporting, and strategic initiative delivery. You’ll collaborate closely with senior leaders to turn strategy into action, foster continuous improvement, and ensure alignment with long-term goals.
Your new role
Reporting to the General Manager, Underwriting & Partners, you’ll be responsible for leading the development and execution of departmental strategy and operational plans. You’ll contribute by:
- Overseeing business performance reporting, including KPIs, developing requirements for executive dashboards, and delivering risk insights.
- Providing analytical support for regulatory requirements & strategic decision-making.
- Managing the business planning cycle and ensuring timely, accurate reporting.
- Identifying operational risks and recommending process improvements.
- Lead strategic initiatives and ensure alignment with design principles and business objectives.
- Driving strategic initiatives aligned with business objectives and design principles.
- Supporting and coaching a high-performing team to deliver on strategic and operational goals.
- Partnering with stakeholders to enhance automation, efficiency, and continuous improvement.

About you
You’re a strategic thinker with experience in planning, performance, project delivery, or consulting. You’re confident working with data, engaging with senior stakeholders, and navigating ambiguity with ease. You’ll bring:
- Strong financial and business acumen, with the ability to influence decision-making.
- A track record of leading cross-functional initiatives and managing change.
- Experience in the insurance sector and familiarity with relevant regulatory environments.
- Excellent communication, critical thinking, and stakeholder engagement skills.
Qualifications
- Tertiary degree or equivalent experience (postgraduate qualifications desirable).
- Experience in business intelligence, risk management, and process improvement.
