We are seeking an experienced and driven Manager – Procurement to lead our procurement function and ensure the efficient, cost-effective, and compliant acquisition of goods and services.
In this role, you will be responsible for implementing the company’s procurement strategy, overseeing supplier management, contract negotiations, and risk mitigation. You’ll play a key role in optimising procurement processes to support operational efficiency and strategic business goals.
Key Accountabilities:
- Provide leadership and guidance in the application of strategic sourcing principles across the procurement department.
- Drive and support the implementation of strategic sourcing initiatives to enhance procurement effectiveness and value delivery.
- Identify key procurement categories relevant to DP World’s operations and lead efforts to optimise contractual arrangements for externally sourced goods and services.
- Develop, manage, and maintain effective supplier relationships to ensure performance, reliability, and alignment with business needs.
- Ensure the procurement team establishes and monitors appropriate key performance indicators (KPIs) for each supply arrangement, supporting continuous improvement and supplier accountability.
Qualifications, Experience and Skills
- Tertiary qualifications in finance, management, business administration, or a related field; a degree in supply chain and logistics is desirable
- Minimum 5 years of procurement experience, including 2+ years in a leadership role
- Strong background in strategic sourcing, supplier management, and development
- Experience in procurement within manufacturing or materials handling industries, with knowledge of engineering, maintenance, and capital projects
- Proven track record in leading and developing high-performing teams (5+ members)
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills
- Strong analytical skills and proven management capabilities
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and experienced in Sourcing/procurement systems
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively, with a strong customer service focus
