About Us
Minderoo Foundation takes on tough, persistent issues with the potential to drive massive change. We incubate ideas, advocate for systems change and accelerate impact. We push the limits of what is believed possible.
Minderoo Foundation is proudly Australian, independent, forward thinking and seeks effective, scalable solutions. Through bold, collaborative and selfless action, we seek to dismantle the systems that entrench inequality and advocate for a fairer future.
Minderoo’s Gender & Equality Focus Area is committed to forging a future where all people realise their inherent freedom and equality. Strengthening partnerships is critical to achieve this. Guided by the 2030 Strategy, Gender Equality is focused on ending the egregious human rights abuses of modern slavery and gender-based violence, shifting harmful social norms and legislative barriers to gender equality, and creating new economic opportunities that will empower women from the boardroom to the factory floor.
Walk Free is an international human rights group working to accelerate the end of all forms of modern slavery. Walk Free is the creator of the Global Slavery Index, the world's most comprehensive data set on modern slavery. We use this data to mobilise powerful forces for change against these human rights abuses. We work with governments and regulators, businesses and investors, and faith and community leaders to drive systems change and we partner directly with frontline organisations to impact the lives of those vulnerable to modern slavery. We work with survivors to build the movement to end modern slavery, recognising that lived experience is expertise and they are central to identifying lasting solutions.
