About the Family
Join a friendly, down-to-earth family with a bubbly, social, and active 14-month-old girl and her loyal Labrador sidekick (aged 3). Mum works from home as well as in the office, while Dad works full-time out of the house. Their days are filled with family walks, cousin catch-ups, park visits, and playdates.
Their little one is at that magical toddler stage—curious, full of energy, and growing in confidence on her feet every day. The family follows a gentle parenting style and is seeking someone who can offer warmth, consistency, and a playful approach as their daughter explores the world around her. They're excited to welcome a nanny who will become a trusted, long-term part of their lives.
What We’re Looking For
The ideal nanny is experienced, nurturing, and confident with toddlers. You’ll bring a mix of professionalism and playfulness, along with a calm, kind nature and great initiative. Whether you’ve worked as a nanny, early childhood educator or in a similar childcare role, you’ll be someone who genuinely enjoys supporting young children through their developmental milestones.
You'll need to be confident in planning simple outings, encouraging independent play, and keeping things running smoothly throughout the day. Strong communication skills, patience, and a sense of fun are essential.
Tasks Include:
Daily care & routines
· Nappy changes, sunscreen application, dressing, brushing teeth and eventually toilet training
· Supporting a consistent and comforting nap routine (bottle, books, patting/rocking)
· Ensuring hygiene and limiting exposure to sick children where possible
· Recording food intake and sleeps/ Panadol in communication book
Food prep & mealtime routines
· Preparing and serving nutritious meals and snacks
· Offering input on meal planning for the toddler
Play & learning
· Planning fun, age-appropriate activities—think sensory play, arts & crafts, messy play
· Local outings like playgroup, rhyme time, park play, or music in the park
· Creating a stimulating, calm and engaging environment
· Minimum screen time
During nap times
· Tag teaming with the family to do batch cooking child’s meals
· Preparing for bathtime (laying out PJs, towels, nappies, creams)
· Light laundry (e.g. folding, soaking clothes, putting on a load as needed)
· Changing cot sheets weekly
· Vacuuming the play rug occasionally
General household help
· Tidy up after meals and activities
· Pack away toys at the end of the day or during nap on half-days
· Unpack click-and-collect groceries and update shopping list for child-related items

Ideally the successful candidate will have a car, but it is not a requirement. If no car, you’ll need to be confident getting out and about on foot for outings.
