About the role
Our South Australia Business is thriving, and as such we are on the lookout for MCU Operators to join our high performing team. The position is a FIFO role out of Adelaide.
You would be fully trained and required to work in either an open cut or underground operation in a safe and efficient manner in order to provide and deliver a quality product for the purpose of blasting at the site.

What you will be doing
- Safe operation of underground Mobile Charge Unit manufacturing and delivery of explosives.
- Complies with the requirements of the Our Charter, Operating procedures and standards;
- Ensures raw materials and dangerous goods are used, handled and stored according to requirements of the SDS;
- Ensures minimum damage to the environment through waste minimisation and control Reports all Unusual Incidents and Accidents immediately;
- Participates in daily Toolbox talks and Monthly Safety Meetings;
- Maintains all personal training against the Orica training Matrix for your role;
- Performs other ancillary duties including relief at other locations, consistent with level of competence as reasonably instructed by the supervisor;
- Assists the client in achieving targets and maintaining production Performs administration duties relating to stocktaking, product delivery, maintenance quality etc;
- Meets daily customer loading requirements and delivery quality product and service;
- Maintains equipment to ensure it is in serviceable condition.
What you will bring
- A manual Heavy Rigid Vehicle License;
- Must be able to obtain a Dangerous goods license and security card;
- Strong commitment to safety;
- Ability to commit to FIFO / shift work;
- Proven experience within a mechanical environment or a similar industry preferred;
- The ability to work autonomously and be part of a high performing team.
