The Opportunity
We're seeking a dedicated Mechanical Fitter to join our team and take charge of mechanical assets. This position is base in our Picton Refinery and offers a great work & home life balance on a Monday to Friday roster.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct troubleshooting on live and dead equipment, whether isolated or removed from the process.
- Handle minor and major services, replacements and rebuilds of mechanical assets.
- Proficiency with a wide range of mechanical assets, including Helical, Centrifugal, Gear pumps (Internal & External), Vacuum Pumps/Boosters, Submersible, Diaphragm, Multistage, etc.
- Experience with Gear boxes, Cooling towers, Water treatment systems, Steam traps, and Filtration Systems.
- In-depth knowledge of various mechanical seals, including Single bellow seal & Double bellow seal
- Ability to interpret and work with seal drawings, understanding operating lengths, clearances, material types, and more.

- An Australian recognised trade qualification as a Mechanical Fitter
- Proven experience in machinery maintenance and repair
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work efficiently under pressure
- Excellent communication both written and verbal
- Commitment to safety and a meticulous attention to detail

Pay: $50.00 – $55.00 per hour
