Medical Receptionist

• Greet patients and visitors in a warm and friendly manner, ensuring a positive first impression.
• Manage patient appointments, scheduling, and rescheduling as necessary.
• Answer phone calls, address inquiries, and provide accurate information to patients.
• Assist patients with completing necessary forms and paperwork.
• Maintain medical records accurately and efficiently.
• Manage patient check-in and check-out processes, including handling payments.
• Maintain reception area tidy, support doctors and practice manager with any additional administrative duties.
• Handle general administrative tasks such as filing, scanning, faxing, and data entry.
• Collaborate with other team members to provide exceptional patient care.

Selection Criteria:

• Previous experience as a medical secretary or in a similar role is highly desirable.
• Exceptional interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate effectively and compassionately with patients, families, and healthcare professionals.
• Excellent organisational and multitasking abilities, with keen attention to detail.
• Proficiency and ability to learn medical terminology, billing procedures
• Experience using Best practice software
• Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Medical transcription and typing skills desired
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with integrity.
• A friendly and professional demeanour, with a commitment to providing outstanding patient care.

Job Type: Casual

Pay: $28.00 – $33.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 20 per week
