About the role

We have an opportunity for a Mental Health Clinician to be part of our Mental Health Support Unit, Health, Safety & Wellbeing Command. The Mental Health Clinicians role is to enhance employee wellbeing and manage the risk of psychological harm through the provision of mental health and organisational consultancy and counselling services to employees, supervisors and managers. The role provides support in the implementation of relevant policies and procedures; the facilitation and delivery of training programs and proactive and preventative interventions including advice to Commanders on the effectiveness of their Regions implementation of programs and systems to manage psychosocial risks.

The NSW Police Force’s Health, Safety & Wellbeing Command is offering an exciting opportunity for Mental Health Clinicians to be part of the single most significant investment in the health, safety and wellbeing of the NSW Police workforce.

This position will enhance employee wellbeing and manage the risk of psychological harm through the provision of short-term solution-focused counselling, wellbeing services and educational programs to NSW Police Force employees.

These roles will provide support in implementing relevant policies and procedures, delivering training programs, developing proactive and preventative interventions and advising Commanders on the effectiveness of these provisions in their Regions.
