HealthWISE is seeking a motivated Mental Health Support Coordinator to join our Armidale team. This role is ideal for someone passionate about providing suicide aftercare and supporting people in their recovery journey.
You will provide non-clinical, community-based support to people who have attempted suicide, helping them stay safe, build resilience, and connect with essential services. Working closely with clinicians, GPs, and community agencies, you’ll play a vital role in improving mental health outcomes across the region.
About the Role:
- Provide outreach and follow-up suicide aftercare support
- Assist clients with Safety and Support Plans
- Strengthen recovery through social connectedness
- Collaborate with mental health clinicians, GPs, and services
- Maintain accurate records and contribute to program goals
About You:
- Certificate IV or Diploma in Mental Health (or equivalent)
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and within a multidisciplinary team
- Organised, resilient, and able to manage competing priorities
- Driver’s licence, WWCC, and National Police Check required
- Lived experience of recovery (desirable)
