Who are we?
At Wellcare Australia, we provide shared housing and assistance for mental health participants with ongoing care needs. Our vision is to provide outstanding person-centred and recovery-oriented care, through the provision of our support workers, to help our participants through their recovery journey. Wellcare Australia is also a registered NDIS provider.
The core mission of the organisation is to promote and support a recovery based on hope and ambition for all our residents, allowing their mental health to flourish.
What do we expect?
As a mental health support worker, you will be required to use a variety of evidence-based approaches, helping support individuals to live a satisfying life while assisting their mental health recovery.
Your role will be to provide vital daily living assistance towards participants with complex support needs, allowing participants to integrate and engage safely into the community. With encouragement and mentoring, you will support our participants to maintain their independence by promoting social, vocational, and living skills.
How you can help:
· Wellcare Australia offers different kinds of support depending on our participants’ needs, including but not limited to:
· Assisting our participants experiencing mental illness to attend peer and other support groups.
· Provide safe and supportive access to the community.
· Assist in building supportive relationships with individuals, their care team, and families.
· Emotional and crisis support
· Access to other support services and provide multi-level support during clinical consultations.
· Assist participants in developing their daily living abilities.
· Using a person-centred approach to help those living with a mental illness to maximise their independence and confidence.
Mentoring our participants to establish daily routines and life skills, education, health and fitness, work skills and other duties as directed.

Pay: Up to $41.76 per hour
Expected hours: No more than 30 per week
