About The Role
At The Salvation Army, we don't just offer services—we walk alongside people, providing hope, dignity, and opportunity. We are seeking a Metro Regional Development Manager to lead critical homelessness services across the metro region and drive transformational change for those who need it most.
You will be the strategic driver behind our Metro Homelessness Programs, including:
- Flagstaff Crisis Accommodation
- The Open Door Crisis Accommodation
- Foley House
- Residential and Outreach Metro Programs
- Residential Operational Services
You’ll manage a team of seven dedicated professionals and shape the future of service delivery across multiple locations. Your will be part of a dynamic Homelessness State Leadership Team and will work to ensure people experiencing homelessness receive high-quality, accessible, inclusive and compassionate support—every single day. Reporting to the State Manager, this is a permanent full-time position.
Compensation is in accordance with SCHADS Award Level 8.

You Will Successfully
- Lead the strategic redevelopment of Metro homelessness services in alignment with national and state frameworks
- Inspire and manage a high-performing regional team, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement
- Oversee service delivery excellence, including governance, compliance, budget management, and staff wellbeing
- Drive regional growth through workforce planning, partnership development, and the implementation of a regional business plan
- Represent TSA in sector forums, influence policy, and ensure integrated, client-centred service pathways across the state
What You Will Bring
- A relevant tertiary degree (e.g., Social Work, Community Development)
- Minimum 5 years’ leadership experience in homelessness or related sectors
- Proven ability to manage large teams and multi-site programs
- Experience working with government bodies or in advocacy roles
- Deep alignment with The Salvation Army’s mission and values
- Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills
- Current and valid Working with Children's Check
