The role
Adbri is seeking a dynamic National Strategic Planning Manager to oversee tactical operational planning across quarry and building product businesses, ensuring alignment with our strategic Property Optimisation initiatives. This highly strategic, national role is focused on the future planning of extractive resources and involves working closely with the business to secure and manage the execution of all planning consent conditions well ahead of operational needs. It requires extensive engagement with internal and external stakeholders and provides forward planning and strategic advice to support commercially optimal decision-making.
Responsibilities
- Co-ordinate with the business on the development and management of short-term and long-term quarry reserve planning to meet future and current production targets in a timely and 'future-proofed' manner
- Co-ordinate with the Environmental and Compliance team where required, to ensure compliance with all local and state regulations
- Pro-actively plan, prepare, coordinate and submit required approvals, reports, permits, and documentation to regulatory bodies with regard to current and future planning consents and associated conditions
- Work proactively with site and state managers to plan and align upcoming project approvals with preferred timing and budget constraints, whilst identifying opportunities for site consolidation / co-location and progressive rehabilitation (where appropriate)
What you will need to succeed
- Minimum of 10 years in a strategic planning role, with at least 5 years in a management role.
- Strong understanding and management experience of planning for quarries and building product operations
- Proven experience in managing large-scale, multi-site operations and leading teams across multiple locations with Project Director / stakeholder leadership experience
- Strong strategic project management and planning knowledge with skill in their application.
