We are looking for someone who can:
- Work collaboratively with the NICUS team to support the promotion, development, implementation, audit and evaluation of the systems wide response to the collection and utilisation of the NICUS collection, ensuring all relevant standards regarding security, privacy and governance are maintained, with focus on special care nurseries.
- Support the capability development of relevant neonatal stakeholders to ensure optimal utilisation of the data collection, this includes the training of audit officers, clinicians, managers to ensure the integrity of the NICUS collection.
- Actively participate in best practice through regular quality improvement reviews/projects and data collection (audits) as requested or on a need basis.
- Collaborate and engage to inform policy, procedure and guidance.

What you will be doing
The NICUS Support Officer plays a key role in supporting the NICUS Coordinator and Senior Business Analyst in the ongoing evaluation, improvement, and utilisation of data collection processes. This position contributes to the maintenance of data flow within the NICUS database, provides training to NICUS support personnel across diverse settings, and assists with data entry to ensure timely and accurate data collection.
This role upholds high standards in the routine management of registry processes and supports the education of audit officers and support staff within Neonatal Intensive Care Units and Special Care Units across NSW and the ACT. As a representative of the ACI, the NICUS Support Officer models respectful and collaborative practices, promoting a culture of excellence in data collection and adherence to standards aligned with ACI's values and vision.

Remuneration: $109,857.00 - $129,624.00 per annum (excluding Superannuation)

Selection Criteria
- Tertiary qualifications in health or relevant discipline and/or demonstrated relevant health experience in service development using data and research processes.
- Demonstrated high degree of computer literacy, and database experience with a sound knowledge of policies related to the storage of electronic data.
- Proven expertise in completing tasks to deadline with limited supervision, close attention to detail, personal accountability and ability to act on constructive feedback.
- Demonstrated success in the ability to train and support clinical staff in the use of databases.
