About Complex Management Unit
The Complex Management Unit (CMU) is a 20 bed inpatient unit that provides inpatient care to patients with complex psychosocial, cognitive and physical needs. The CMU supports patients who may be eligible for rehabilitation, geriatric evaluation, management and maintenance episodes of care and require in addition intensive, multidisciplinary input to ascertain discharge disposition or address functional and psychosocial barriers to discharge, following their acute episode of care.
About your new role
As a valued member of the CMU team, you will provide professional and clinical leadership, advanced level consultation and evidence based neuropsychological services within a collaborative multidisciplinary framework to adult inpatients and outpatients with acquired brain injury, neurological and neurodegenerative disorders and mental health comorbidities. This includes:
Providing advanced level, specialised clinical neuropsychological services of a highly complex and varied nature
Leading and contribute to clinical governance and professional competence in neuropsychology at a service and statewide level
Providing expert guidance to service planning, and lead change through the implementation of service improvement and evaluation initiatives
Qualifications
Tertiary degree in Psychology (or equivalent)
Post-graduate qualification (e.g. Masters Degree, DPsych, PhD) in Clinical Neuropsychology
Area of practice endorsement as a Clinical Neuropsychologist
Psychology Board of Australia endorsement to supervise postgraduate students, provisional psychologists, and psychologists
AHPRA Registration
Driver licence
Evidence of vaccination, or be able to be vaccinated against and remain vaccinated against - Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, Pertussis and Hepatitis B
Tuberculosis screening, to identify if the tuberculosis vaccination may be required
Declaration of serious discipline history must be disclosed
Criminal History Screening will be required for new employees (GCH will cover cost)
