Downer’s Road Maintenance & ITS business work across the Victorian Roads Maintenance contract (VRMC). We will deliver routine maintenance, planned maintenance, defect and hazard rectification and emergency response services to more than 8,500 lane kilometres of road in Victoria’s Hume region, stretching from Mitchell Shire on the edge of metropolitan Melbourne to the north-east corner of the State.
We are looking to appoint a Road Network Inspector based out of Wangaratta depot to undertake inspections of road assets. You will evaluate condition, identify repairs, suggest appropriate treatments, and document findings. This role would suit someone who has a high regard for safety and quality.
What you’ll bring
- Demonstrated experience in working with road assets, bridges, culverts, signs and barriers preferred
- Current Motor Vehicle license
- The ability to travel and work away from home for periods of time as required
- Current General Construction Induction card (preferred)
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Demonstrated ability with building relationships with key stakeholders
- Systems level proficiency with computer systems
- Strong commitment to maintaining a Zero Harm culture
