The Role
An opportunity has become available for several Nurse Manager (Hospital Nurse Coordinator) to join Gold Coast Health (GCH) where the focus of our 12 000-strong team is on providing world-class health care to people living in the Gold Coast, and northern New South Wales region of Australia.
You will
Participate and at times lead daily meetings.
Liaises with internal and external stakeholders to ensure the efficient movement of patients in and out of the hospitals
Coordinate responses to evolving incidents including Code Yellows, Reds, Oranges, Purples, Browns and Level 2 Code Blacks.
Advanced experience in critical thinking and decision making
About you
To be successful in this position you will require:
Bachelor of Nursing or equivalent
Registration with the Nursing Midwifery Board of Australia
Evidence of vaccination, or be able to be vaccinated against and remain vaccinated against - Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, Pertussis and Hepatitis B
Tuberculosis screening, to identify if the tuberculosis vaccination may be required
Declaration of serious discipline history must be disclosed
Criminal History Screening will be required for new employees (GCH will cover cost)

Salary
Permanent full time base salary ranging from $132,562 - $143,924 per annum
Permanent part time $66.85 - $72.58 per hour
About Us
The Patient Access Flow Unit is located within both Gold Coast University Hospital and Robina Hospital with the service being 24 hours/7 days per week. The team manage the daily fluctuations in demand capacity management through the opening and closing of the Hospital and Health Service bed platform, and consulting regarding nursing and midwifery workforce requirements in a proactive approach with Nursing Midwifery Staff Unit (NMSU).
