Our Perth Nursery, based in Oakford WA, has an exciting opportunity available for an experienced Nursery Manager, reporting directly to the Operations Manager. As a ‘hands on’ manager you will be accountable for the day-to-day Nursery operations.
The main duties for this role include, but are not limited to:
- Accountable for the day to day operation of the Nursery
- To ensure daily production and maintenance duties are completed
- Organise repairs and maintenance of buildings, vehicles and nursery production equipment
- Stock management including the purchasing of stock, maintaining supplier relationships, stock rotation, quality assurance and distribution to branches
- Assist on major installations and removals and be available to help service customers' sites when required
To ensure your success in this role, you should have:
- Certificate in Horticulture or related field
- Relevant industry experience
- Strong project management and planning skills
- Strong and proven leadership capability
- Ability to communicate and interact effectively with cross functional teams and suppliers
- Effective time management and organisational skills
- Experience in the use of computer software including Microsoft office and other basic equipment
- Able to handle multiple tasks and projects concurrently and successfully
- Demonstrated ability to meet assigned targets and deadlines consistently
