About the work facility
Parklands Residential Aged Care Facility is a health service within the Townsville Hospital and Health Service and is supported by the Rural Hospitals Group. The facility provides service delivery to 70 residents. The McCarthy High care frail aged unit has 40 beds including one community respite. The Nautilus/Pandora unit has 30 beds for mobile wandering residents requiring care within a secure unit, Nautilus/Pandora unit includes two community respite beds.

About your opportunity
An amalgamation of historic roles, such as catering, cleaning and laundry has led to a cohesive team approach to resident service delivery. Staff flexibility is a key factor to the success of achieving the primary objective of the Operational Service Officer. Communication is primarily with the supervisor and then encompasses all staff within the multidisciplinary team including nursing, allied health, and administration.
In this role you will:
Deliver high-quality services that meet the needs of residents and support environmental standards, under the direction and/or supervision of a supervisor, and within your level of experience and training.
Undertake any education necessary to maintain up-to-date knowledge relevant to your role.
Maintain public health care sector standards and ensure compliance with the Code of Conduct and Aged Care Standards.
