The Role
The purpose of this role is to support the Operational Technology (OT) systems including SCADA, IoT, and Operational Historian. You will enable robust network operations through proactive management of OT systems and ensuring compliance with standards, supporting business stakeholders to implement improvements and develop use cases. This role will also focus on managing delivery of works, including developing scope of works documents, managing tenders, and overall project and contract management.
Your key responsibilities
- Operational Technology (OT) System Support - support OT systems such as SCADA, IoT Device Management, Octaplant, and Historian, essential for Water, Sewer, and Treatment operations. Diagnose and resolve faults to ensure system reliability and effective alarm monitoring.
- SCADA Support - ensure SCADA reliability by monitoring performance, resolving issues, and integrating with communication and IT systems. Assist with asset integration and develop improvement projects based on system analysis.
- Vendor and Work Management - develop Statements of Work, manage vendor tendering and quotes, and issuing work. Track vendor performance to ensure timely and quality service delivery.
- Reporting and Governance - manage Vendor SLAs and generate key operational and strategic reports. Provide insights through performance metrics to support decision-making and continuous improvement.
What we’re looking for
- Exposure to Operational Technology such as field assets including PLC and RTU, and systems including Geo SCADA and OSI PI. Broad understanding of IoT sensors, cyber security and/or scripting languages are highly regarded.
- Experience using Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel
- Tertiary qualification in Engineering, Information Technology, or relevant fields
