Job Description
About the role
Play a key role at the heart of Australia’s busiest airport, where no two days are the same. As the Operations Program Coordinator, you’ll provide oversight across the Operations Planning and Delivery program — a collection of high-impact projects that drive critical improvements in how the airport operates.
In this role, you’ll oversee program governance, manage budgets, mitigate risks, and ensure that all deliverables align with broader business outcomes. You’ll also facilitate cross-functional communication, maintain key documentation, and handle a range of administrative responsibilities—from Capex and Opex management to roster management and stakeholder engagement.
This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to a fast-paced environment that underpins the daily operations of the airport. As part of the Aviation Operations team your work will directly support the safety, efficiency and resilience of the airport precinct. If you enjoy connecting the dots, coordinating moving parts, and helping teams succeed, this role offers both purpose and momentum in a truly unique setting.
In this role, you will have the opportunity to
- Provide strategic oversight and coordination of multiple interdependent projects within the Aviation Operations Planning and Delivery team.
- Partner with project sponsors to plan and manage the overall program lifecycle, ensuring alignment with key operational outcomes.
- Monitor progress, manage risks and issues, and implement corrective actions to keep the program on track.
- Facilitate communication and collaboration across cross-functional teams to drive program success.
- Support program governance through documentation, reporting, and stakeholder engagement.
- Assist with administrative tasks including budget tracking, purchase orders, roster coordination, and meeting management.
About you
- Tertiary qualifications in Business Administration, Communications, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Proven experience in program or project coordination, ideally within a complex operational environment.
- Strong stakeholder engagement skills, with a track record of working across diverse teams and large-scale initiatives.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to prepare clear reports and documentation.
- Solid understanding of program planning, monitoring, and risk management techniques.
- Knowledge of airport operations, procedures, and budgeting processes is highly regarded.
