The Opportunity
Our Lysaght business is looking for an Operations Technician to join the Production Team based in Townsville. Made in Australia since 1921, Lysaght manufactures and markets steel building products that have helped shape the nation: from iconic corrugated roofing over Australian homes, to large commercial and industrial projects.
Based in Townsville, our Technicians are at the heart of our operations, playing a key role in creating innovative solutions for our customers. Based in Townsville, you’ll work with cutting-edge machinery, ensuring the highest quality standards while prioritizing safety—for both yourself and the team. Purlin mill experience would be highly favourable in this opportunity.

What Will You Do?
In this dynamic role, no two days are the same! You’ll be making a direct impact on the safety and quality of our products. Your tasks will include:
- Operating forklifts, gantry cranes, and processing machinery.
- Safely preloading and unloading products to and from trucks.
- Packing and strapping steel products on-site to meet specific customer orders.
- Supporting the team with various general tasks as needed.
