Overview of our role
In this role, you’ll play a key part in designing and enabling cyber security strategies and solution architectures that foster a strong, resilient, and inclusive security culture across our organisation. As our world becomes increasingly digital, your work will help protect the systems and technologies that keep our energy networks running safely and reliably.
You’ll work closely with passionate teams across engineering, energy operations, and our control rooms to understand business risks and design thoughtful, balanced security solutions. Your work will ensure we effectively manage cyber security risks while supporting innovative and commercially sound outcomes.
This is a hands-on, relationship-focused role where you’ll partner with teams designing and operating our technology infrastructure—including Operational Technology (OT), SCADA, Internet of Things (IoT), Smart Metering, and other essential systems. Together, you’ll implement practical cyber security controls that strengthen our networks and make a real impact.

A little about you
- Considerable experience developing OT and cyber security architectures and associated designs
- Experience with enabling and implementation of long term roadmaps
- Considerable experience communicating, collaborating and influencing at all levels
- *Extensive energy industry experience in an OT role is essential
Qualifications / certifications & Skills
- Security related qualifications/certification an advantage
- Advanced written and verbal communication and presentation skills
- In-depth knowledge of OT systems, services and trends,
- Proven capability in OT security products, services and trends
- Very strong knowledge of the wider business context and digitisation industry trends and technology implications
- Very strong collaboration, facilitation and internal consulting skills
