As the Security Systems Specialist - Mechanical, you'll play a crucial role in maintaining the University's security infrastructure. You'll manage the Locksmith Services contract, collaborate on integrating mechanical and electronic security solutions, and provide expert advice to diverse stakeholders. This position offers you the opportunity to apply your expertise in mechanical security systems while contributing to the safety of the entire University community.
Your responsibilities will include:
Manage Locksmith Services: Oversee the University Locksmith Services contract, ensuring high-quality service delivery and compliance with standards.
Integrate Security Solutions: Collaborate with project teams to incorporate mechanical security into broader system installations, participating in design and implementation processes.
Provide Expert Advice: Offer guidance on mechanical security systems, including restricted key systems and door hardware, to internal and external stakeholders.
Ensure System Maintenance: Conduct witness testing and system verification checks for mechanical security components, maintaining secure access for all University users.
You may be a great fit if:
You are an experienced professional with extensive knowledge of mechanical security systems, strong project management skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders in a university-wide context.
You may also:
Hold a degree in a relevant field with experience in security systems, or an equivalent combination of experience and education (Locksmith trade qualification highly desirable).
Have proven ability to work collaboratively in a team environment, coordinating with project managers and stakeholders.
Possess strong project management and organisational skills, with experience in managing schedules and producing clear reports.
Demonstrate excellent communication and customer service skills, explaining complex technical information to non-technical audiences.
Stay current with industry trends and technological advancements in mechanical security systems.
