The National Library of Australia is seeking to fill the part-time role of Senior Library Officer, Out of Hours (APS4) in the Reader Services Section in Engagement Branch.
Join our team as a dedicated Senior Library Officer specializing in out-of-hours operations. In this exciting role, you'll be integral to delivering efficient services across our Reading Rooms and our Ask a Librarian service during evenings and weekends.
As a valued member of our team, you'll be at the forefront of delivering customer-centric reference services within our Library's reading rooms. Your duties will include addressing enquiries both onsite and through our online and phone reference channels, as well as assisting users in navigating Library equipment, systems, and services.
You'll have the opportunity to foster relationships both within and outside the organization, bring forth innovative ideas, and actively contribute to implementing service enhancements and workplace advancements.
Success in this position requires qualifications or equivalent experience in Information Management, Arts, Humanities, Social Sciences, or related fields. Join us and be part of a dynamic team dedicated to connecting with communities.
This role includes regular evening and weekend work undertaken during the Library’s advertised reading room opening hours.
