YHA Melbourne Central is an affordable accommodation provider based in Melbourne CBD. The property consists of 75 rooms with 244 beds offering both shared and private spaces to a diverse range of guests. It is a stone's throw away from premier attractions like the Eureka Skydeck, Melbourne Aquarium, and Federation Square, not to mention the graffiti-adorned laneways teeming with bustling cafes, bars, and eateries. This property is an ideal launchpad for your Melbourne and Greater Victorian travel journey.
About the role:
Front desk: Providing excellent customer service to property guests and contributing to the property's friendly and cheerful atmosphere, answering guest queries and providing helpful local knowledge and recommendations, checking in and out guests and providing them with information that will assist in an enjoyable stay, resolving any guest concerns or disputes and escalating to relevant management when appropriate.
Cleaning: duties include; Refreshing communal spaces, kitchens, monitoring and replenishing stock and ensuring our property remains sparkling clean for our guests during the night.
What we are looking for:
- Previous experience in front desk reception, customer service, food & beverage and commercial cleaning in an accommodation setting.
- Good time management skills and the ability to work well under pressure
- A valid Responsible Service of Alcohol Certification (RSA)
- Flexible availability 24/7 roster primarily night shifts and including weekends and public holidays
- Excellent communication skills verbal and written
- Full Australian working rights with no restrictions
