The opportunity
Are you a University Student looking to gain valuable legal experience while completing your studies? Join our Claims Legal team and support us in ensuring timely and accurate handling of legal and administrative tasks. This is a fantastic opportunity to work part-time and develop your skills in a professional environment.
Your new role
As a Part-time Paralegal Associate, you will support the Proper Officer with subpoena responses, conduct legal research, compile workflow metrics, and provide general administrative support.
Additional Responsibilities will include:
- Liaise with internal stakeholders and external parties to gather required documentation.
- Maintain accurate records of subpoena requests and responses.
- Conduct research on relevant legislation, case law, and regulatory updates.
- Summarise findings and prepare briefing notes or memos for the legal team.
- Track and report on legal team workflow metrics.
- Support the development of dashboards or reports for leadership visibility.
- Prepare and format legal documents, correspondence, and presentations.
About you
To be successful in this role you will be a current University Law Student in at least your 2nd year, with a current credit average. You will also have:
- Legal research and writing skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Interest in technology and AI
- Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
