Job Overview:
The Patient Liaison Officer serves as the key point of contact between patients, their families, and medical centre staff. You will ensure that patients’ voices are heard, concerns are addressed promptly, and that they feel supported throughout their healthcare journey.
Key Responsibilities:
- Act as the main contact for patients and families, offering guidance, support, and information.
- Handle complaints, concerns, and feedback professionally and efficiently.
- Collaborate with medical and administrative staff to resolve issues and improve patient care.
- Promote patient rights and ensure respectful, compassionate communication at all times.
- Provide updates and explanations to patients and families regarding procedures, delays, and care plans.
- Maintain accurate records of interactions and resolutions.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a healthcare, customer service, or advocacy role (essential).
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to handle sensitive situations with empathy and professionalism.
- Strong problem-solving and conflict-resolution abilities.
- Knowledge of medical terminology and hospital systems is a plus.
