As a Personal Support Worker, you'll directly assist clients with acquired spinal cord injuries in their homes.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Transfers in and out of bed and wheelchairs, using hoists as required
- Grooming, bathing, dressing and dental hygiene
- Personal care, including toileting, bladder and bowel management
- Basic wound care and self-medication
- Domestic support (meal preparation, household duties and laundry)
- Community access (driving to appointments and social activities)
- Morning, afternoon, evening and overnight shifts
We are looking for people who:
- Are excellent listeners and communicate authentically
- Can work a fixed fortnightly roster (morning, afternoons, evenings and overnights available)
- Hold a current driver's licence and have a reliable vehicle
- Hold, or willing to obtain, a NDIS Workers Screening Card and Blue Cards
- Are experienced in the field, and/or hold relevant qualifications (not required - training provided!)
