With a strong reputation for safety, quality, and care for the environment, we are expanding our team and seeking a versatile Plant & Equipment / Truck Operator who can also assist as an Arborist Grounds Person.
About the Role
This is a hands-on role where you’ll operate a range of machinery and vehicles while supporting arboricultural operations on the ground. You’ll be an integral part of the crew, helping ensure work is completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest standards.
· Operate excavators with attachments (flail, grab, buckets), tip trucks, and other plant & equipment.
· Assist arborists on the ground (chipping, cutting, site clean-up) feeding woodchippers with machines..
· Support tree pruning and removals in line with safety procedures.
· Safely load, unload, and transport machinery and green waste.
· Conduct basic daily maintenance and pre-start checks on machinery.
· Work collaboratively in a team to meet project timelines.
About You
We are looking for a motivated and reliable team player with a strong safety focus.
Essential:
· HR/MR Truck licence (or willingness to obtain).
· Excavator and/or other plant operator experience with applicable ticket.
· Ability to perform physical labour in outdoor conditions.
· Strong awareness of workplace health & safety.
· Positive attitude, reliability, and willingness to learn arborist skills.
Highly Regarded:
· White Card.
· Chainsaw ticket (or willingness to obtain).
· Experience in arboriculture, landscaping, or construction industries.
· EWP or other machinery tickets.
