The Project
Genus has been awarded a contract for the design, construction and commissioning of approximately 41km of underground and overhead power distribution infrastructure at Fortescue’s Eliwana and Flying Fish mine sites.
Genus will undertake design and construction of overhead and underground 33kV power distribution infrastructure which include poles, underground power cable, overhead line conductor, OPGW and associated hardware, with a contract sum of approximately $28 million.
The Role
Genus Infrastructure are seeking suitably qualified and experienced candidates for current major projects in the WA mining and resources sector. This is a great opportunity to jump on a 2+ year project in a permanent, full-time position.
- Key support role to the construction of a 33kV distribution network
- Carry-out on-site transport and logistics of materials to workfronts
- Driving on site around mining operations
- Providing construction escorts in and out of mining operations
- Excavation, backfill and compaction of trenching for electrical services
- off-siding drill rigs
- Crane and rigging operations
- Operations of loaders, tip trucks and water carts to support operations
- Concreting and general civil support activities
We are particularly interested in hearing from experienced candidates with the following skills:
- HR, HC, MC Truck drivers (Essential)
- Excavation, Loader, Skid Steer Operations (Essential)
- Water Cart Operations (Essential)
- Dogging and Rigging
- Formwork and Concreters
- All-round/Multi-Skilled Civil Plant Operators with a passion to further their skills in the power industry
