About the Role As the Postdoctoral Research Associate, you will undertake research at the Faculty of Engineering and IT to develop sludge and wastewater treatment technology. This position is part of a research project funded by the ARC Discovery Project. The incumbent will carry out wastewater treatment and sludge treatment experiments, prepare and present results in papers and conferences, present at seminars, and co-supervise PhD students. About You The incumbent is expected to have expertise in water/wastewater treatment and/or sludge treatment and will be expected to support the activities of the research team and apply for independent research fellowships or funding. As the successful applicant, you will also have; • A PhD Degree in Environmental Engineering or a very closely related field• Demonstrated track record in publishing in top journals• Environmental behaviour and control of pollutants through high quality research and/or awards• Ability to rigorously design experiments and to perform experiments under well-controlled conditions

Remuneration

Base Salary Range: $92,761 to $112,977 pa (Level A) This role attracts 17% superannuation (pension) in addition to the base salary. This position is full-time and an appointment will be made on a fixed term basis for 12 months.
