This is a wonderful opportunity for a Principal Aboriginal Health Care Worker to work within a multidisciplinary team. This senior position will provide flexible, holistic, and culturally sensitive health and case management services to Aboriginal children up to 12 years of age and their families. The role will also include engagement with local organisations that provide support to Aboriginal families.

The position is based in the Kids Hub Intervention team and will be part of a multidisciplinary team of Medical, Nursing, Allied Health clinicians, and other support staff.

This is a fabulous opportunity to be part of a new service in the nationwide rollout of Kids Hubs, jointly funded by NSW Health and the Australian Government, to provide early intervention mental health and wellbeing support for children up to 12 years of age. The Kids Hub will prioritise referrals for vulnerable families, and the intervention approach requires the child to be seen within the context of their family and social support structures.

The Kids Hub service will be based in Wollongong, with outreach provided to the Shoalhaven area.

This is a temporarily funded position until 28 June 2026 with the possibility of an extension subject to funding.
