About the Opportunity
A fantastic opportunity for a Process Specialist Logistics – Program Horizon to join the team on a fixed term contract basis until the end of 2026. The Process Specialist can be located in any State.
The Process Specialist - Logistics role exists to provide a deep understanding of end-to-end logistics processes, while supporting the Process Owner for Logistics with driving standardisation & simplification across the Metcash national distribution network. Under the direction of the Process Owner, the Process Specialists leverages the process network to ensure our core processes are streamlined, efficient and effective. Process Specialists work closely with the Technology team providing expertise and capability through the application lifecycle.
In this Role
- Support Technology team by providing process expertise in the Metcash warehouse logistics operations and capability through Build/Test/Deploy.
- Pillar agnostic role that will support Food & Liquor pillar for logistics functions.
- Supports Technology team with the implementation of solutions including business requirements analysis, application functional testing, solution acceptance criteria, training, and documentation to achieve strategic goals of the program.
- Ensure processes are streamlined and simplified where possible and data cleansed ahead of deployment.
- Identify opportunities for alignment and standardization (where possible) on process variations across National, States & functional teams.
- Support Pillar and Change teams with Business Readiness activities ensuring a robust transition state is designed and understood.
You’re Likely a Match If
- Successful management of Process simplification and optimization within a warehouse or other business areas
- Experience in the area of logistics process specialization within Retail/Wholesale environments
- Deep understanding of end-to-end logistics processes of warehouse environments
- Experience with Power Enterprise relating to outbound order processes (extraction & invoicing), inbound receipts and inventory management.
- Knowledge of Transport Management Systems
- Must have a high level of competency with MS 365 tools. Prior experience with BPM, IT implementations and/or business transformation projects.
