About the Role
Process Technician to join our Processing team at Kalgoorlie Nickel Smelter working in a team consisting of 6 members on a 5/2 4/3 roster. This role is critical in ensuring optimal performance of the fixed plant and the monitoring of equipment in preservation state.
Reporting to the Process Supervisor Preservation, you will:
- Be able to work under autonomously supervision, safely and efficiently to operate fixed plant (Acid, Neutralised, water recovery and fuel oil processes)
- Monitor and maintain equipment in preservation state
- Troubleshoot process issues(identify and manage risks to plant)
- Sample, daily inspections and reporting of plant required
- Monitoring and operation of control systems (DCS/PLC)
About You
Safe, self-motivated person who has good attention to detail and a willingness to want to perform in a small team environment.
To be successful in this role you should possess:
- Sound mechanical aptitude
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience as a process technician
- Isolation and sound trouble shooting experience
- Forklift, Bobcat, Excavator, Working at Heights, Confined Space (all desirable)
- Current WA drivers Licence
