Gilgandra Shire Council is seeking a Procurement Officer to join the Growth & Liveability team!
- Full time 38 hours week
- Rostered day off every fortnight - an extra 22 days off a year!
- Weekly pay cycle
- Salary range $1296.37 - $1555.61 per week
ABOUT THE ROLE
To ensure the efficient and effective operation of Council’s Stores function and to drive a consistent approach to sourcing, purchasing and tendering activities. The role ensures value for money, maximises cost savings, and supports Council’s policy commitments, including local procurement.

Salary and conditions will be in accordance with the Local Government (State) Award 2023.
ABOUT YOU
Council is looking for someone who has the following qualities, experience and/or qualifications:
- Sound knowledge of procurement and stores management, with proven cost control, record keeping and computer skills.
- WorkCover WH&S Construction Induction (White Card).
- Minimum 3 years relevant work experience.
- Class C Driver Licence.
- Demonstrated effective communication (interpersonal, written and oral) and customer service skills.
- Proven numeracy skills.
- Knowledge and understanding of WH&S.
