Job Description
Join A Current Affair’s award-winning Sydney team as a Producer. We need a creative force to shape compelling content from groundbreaking investigations to powerful human-interest pieces, all while upholding our unwavering commitment to ethics and trust.
The ideal candidate will have a strong aptitude for creative and innovative approaches to engaging a national audience.
Day to day, you will:
- Source, research, and produce compelling content for multiple platforms, including assisting with graphics and preparing clear briefs for shoots.
- Work closely with reporters, editors, camera crews, and host Ally Langdon to develop and deliver high-quality stories.
- Uphold A Current Affair's reputation for trust and integrity by ensuring all content meets our high ethical standards.
- Proactively monitor news, trends, and current events to identify relevant stories and source talent that resonates with the audience.
- Investigate everyday issues and drive the production of quality content that is relevant to the audience and has a national impact.
Qualifications
What you’ll bring:
- A journalism degree or comparable professional experience, with proven years in broadcast television.
- Solid network of national contacts and a deep understanding of news platforms, with the ability to identify and secure compelling content and talent.
- Proven experience in leveraging new platforms and creative storytelling to increase audience engagement.
- Comfortable excelling both independently and within a team, consistently delivering high-quality content under pressure.
- Passion for news and current affairs, and a commitment to developing impactful stories on critical issues.
- Proficiency in ENPS and Avid server systems is beneficial.
