About the Role
The Product Area Lead works closely with the Tribe Lead Cyber Services and leadership team to deliver the Secure Design & Run services in a simple, secure and cost-
effective way.
You are responsible for driving the Secure Design & Run Services strategic vision and roadmap. The role is focused on the ‘what’ and inspires squads to achieve their shared mission by guiding them on what to work on to achieve great customer outcomes balanced with security.
The Product Area Lead also ensures that the work is strategically aligned to the Cyber Services Tribe mission and engages with the Tribe leadership team, Product Owners and Chapter Leads to align and manage interdependencies. It is a key leadership role, galvanising the squads around a vision and supporting them to successfully deliver customer value at pace.
As a Product Area Lead, you will bring domain knowledge and deep security expertise and develop this expertise across your specialist Chapter groups.

What will your day look like?
Co-develop your product area strategic roadmap with the Cyber Services Tribe Leadership Team and Product Owners and refine the mission as required
Define the product area work, including the dependencies across product areas and other squads/tribes
Break the work down into Features, and manage the Product Area Backlog of work with your Product Owners, including capacity to deliver
Work with your Product Owners to break down prioritise and sequence the work
Ensure delivery of agreed Features, proactively allocating work across the Squads and managing budgets, risks and dependencies across the Area
Continuously develop your own expertise and stay up-to-date with emerging trends, practices and latest cyber security news
Build and maintain the functions profile and key relationships across ANZ and regularly showcase the service’s value
Remove roadblocks and manage alignment and interdependencies with other product areas or squads
Collaborate with strategic partners and key stakeholders both inside and outside of Group Cyber Security to continuously improve the service’s effectiveness, efficiency and commerciality
Collaborate with the new Centre of Excellence in Group Cyber Security to innovate and automate the service, including uplift to supporting processes and technology
Work closely with the extended Cyber Services leadership team to ensure we have the right workforce, in the right locations, in place to meet our immediate and emerging business needs
Work with Tribe Performance Lead and Operations Expert to develop insights and analysis derived from the service
Act as an escalation point for Initiatives, Services and Security Incidents to ensure the correct engagement across the business and Group Cyber Security Leadership
What will you bring?
Deep understanding of security architecture, with the ability to develop, evaluate and review as well as design secure solutions which facilitate scalability, extensibility and reusability
Knowledge and understanding of threat modelling methodologies and common tactics, techniques and procedures in agile environments
Strong understanding of attack vectors and ability to design and articulate security controls in an agile environment to protect against them
Familiarity, demonstrated knowledge and experience in securing cloud technologies such as AWS, GCP, Kubernetes, Container, and infrastructure as code deployments
Industry / academic accreditations / certifications in Security, Architecture, Cloud o
Technology disciplines preferred (e.g. CISSP, SABSA, CCSP, AWS, GCP, Bachelor Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, etc.)
Ability to influence business stakeholders by becoming key, trusted security advisor to senior stakeholder groups (Tech Area Leads, Tribe Leads etc.) as well as various tribe members
Ability to create shared clarity – bring people on the journey, creating a shared understanding of context, purpose, goals and progress. Even if its ambiguous, create focus and enough certainty to deliver and succeed.
Experience leading high performing diverse and multi-location teams, including leading through change
