We’re seeking a hands-on Maintenance Manager to lead our maintenance operations, ensuring all machinery, equipment, and facilities are efficient, compliant, and future-ready. This is a key leadership role that combines technical expertise with strategic direction.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and mentor the Maintenance Team, building capability as the business grows.
- Oversee and manage the FIIX maintenance CRM system to ensure efficient maintenance scheduling, visibility and tracking of tasks through the organisation
- Manage maintenance and optimisation of all manufacturing equipment and facilities.
- Oversee installation of new machinery and re-engineer existing systems to improve reliability and productivity.
- Develop and maintain preventive and predictive maintenance schedules.
- Manage capital budget, engineering operational and site budgets to within specified cost parameters
- Coordinate external contractors and suppliers.
- Collaborate with Production, QA, and NPD teams on equipment design, packaging needs, and new projects.
- Maintain records for audits and ensure compliance with WHS, food safety, and environmental legislation.
- To be involved in and manage site development projects as required
- To ensure that all paperwork and registers are kept up to date, to satisfy any external audits
- To ensure that site water and waste is handled in line with environmental legislation
- To ensure that in the event of machinery breakdown, that machinery is repaired as effectively and efficiently as possible in line with WHS and Quality and Food Safety requirements
- Support site development and continuous improvement initiatives.
About You
- Ideally trade qualified in electrical (A class) and mechanical.
- Proven leadership and mentoring experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
- Committed to safety, quality, and continuous improvement.
- Excellent communication, organisational, and time-management skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
- A team player with a proactive, can-do attitude.
