About the Role:
We’re seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Deli Team Member to join our friendly, fast-paced team in a busy, family-run grocery store located in Roselands. As part of our deli department, you’ll play a key role in delivering high-quality customer service and ensuring our fresh food offerings are presented at their best every day.
What You'll Be Doing:
- Preparing and serving a variety of fresh deli meats, cheeses, olives, and specialty items.
- Operating deli equipment, including slicers and scales, safely and efficiently.
- Keeping your work area clean, well-organized, and compliant with food safety standards.
- Rotating stock to ensure product freshness.
- Providing warm, helpful, and knowledgeable customer service at the deli counter.
- Ensuring shelves and displays are fully stocked, visually appealing, and accurately labeled.
- Collaborating with your teammates to maintain a smooth, efficient workflow.
What We’re Looking For:
- Experience in a deli, food service, or grocery environment (required).
- Strong understanding of food safety and hygiene practices.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to stay organized and multitask in a busy, customer-facing setting.
- Attention to detail and a genuine passion for food presentation and quality.
Bonus:
- Greek language skills are highly valued but not essential.
- Previous experience in a family-run or independent grocery store is a plus.
Eligibility:
- Candidates must have the right to work in Australia (preferred).
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $23.50 – $28.00 per hour
Schedule:
- 8 hour shift
- Weekend availability
