What You’ll Be Doing .As a Behaviour Support Practitioner with AAA, your role goes far beyond writing reports. You’ll be empowering people to lead more independent, meaningful lives—and supporting the teams around them to do the same. You’ll have the chance to work with people of all ages, cultures, and lived experiences, including those navigating disability, trauma, mental health, or complex social challenges. Every day, you’ll make a difference by:
- Listening deeply to individuals and families to understand what matters to them
- Conducting Functional Behaviour Assessments (FBA) to uncover the “why” behind behaviours of concern
- Developing NDIS-compliant Behaviour Support Plans that are practical, ethical, and empowering
- Equipping support workers, families, and community members with tools and strategies that build confidence and reduce risk
- Collaborating with a multi-disciplinary team that respects your voice and values diverse perspectives
- Championing a strengths-based, rights-focused approach that supports choice, dignity, and inclusion for every person you work with
Whether you're supporting a young person adjusting to a new home, an adult with autism exploring independence, or someone rebuilding after incarceration or trauma—you’ll play a key role in helping people thrive.What You’ll Bring
- Current registration as a Proficient Behaviour Support Practitioner with the NDIS Commission
- A relevant degree OR active NDIS Behaviour Support Practitioner Registration ID
- Solid experience in behaviour support within disability or mental health contexts
- Excellent written communication, planning, and collaboration skills
- A commitment to inclusive, trauma-informed, and person-led practice
