About Us

Since 1976, Community Gateway has supported vulnerable and disadvantaged individuals across Northern NSW. We are a QIP-accredited, child-safe, values-led not-for-profit organisation with a strong commitment to social justice, inclusion, and person-centred care.

We deliver a wide range of services including trauma counselling, financial capability programs, homelessness support, emergency relief, and accredited outside school hours care.

About the Role

This exciting opportunity is to coordinate our Choices Program – a sexual and reproductive health clinical service.

Reporting to the Senior Manager – Service Delivery, you’ll lead a multidisciplinary team, support clinical operations, and oversee program delivery in line with Community Gateway’s values and practice framework.

You’ll play a key role in delivering holistic support to clients while also managing systems that ensure quality, compliance, and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities Include:
  • Leading and supporting a multidisciplinary team, including GPs and Nurses

  • Overseeing daily program coordination, including appointment triage and clinic operations

  • Developing, coordinating, and delivering health promotion activities and community education initiatives aligned with sexual and reproductive health priorities

  • Ensuring service quality, safety, and legislative compliance

  • Driving continuous improvement and community engagement activities

  • Building partnerships and representing the organisation at intersectoral forums

  • Coordinating program planning, reporting, and risk management activities

About You

You are a confident and organised leader with a strong background in health promotion or community health. You have excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills, and a values-led approach to delivering inclusive, responsive services.

Essential Criteria:

  • Tertiary qualifications and/or equivalent experience in health promotion

  • Demonstrated experience leading a community health team

  • Knowledge of service innovation and reform in the human services sector

  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills

  • Well-developed organisational and time management skills

  • Computer literacy and experience with medical software systems

Additional Requirements:

  • NSW Working with Children Check

  • National Police Check

  • NSW Driver Licence
