About the Role
Are you passionate about community safety and developing high-quality operational training?
CFA's Operational Response and Coordination (ORC) team is seeking a motivated Program Officer, Fire Medical Response, to support and enhance our Fire Medical Response (FMR) Program.As part of a dynamic team of public safety professionals, you'll play a key role in designing and developing engaging training content that meets legislative, policy and compliance standards. You'll work closely with CFA's Operational Doctrine and Training Department and liaise with key stakeholders, including Ambulance Victoria to ensure materials are accurate, relevant and effective.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and deliver operational training content, with a focus on Fire Medical Response.
- Facilitate workshops and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders.
- Analyse research and data to inform best practice and support risk identification.
- Manage program plans, budgets, timelines and ensure appropriate governance and continuous improvement.
- Prepare reports, briefing papers and other documentation as needed.

- A creative thinker with a collaborative approach and strong stakeholder engagement skills.
- Experienced in content development for diverse audiences.
- Hold a strong grasp of compliance requirements and contemporary training methodologies.

- RTO compliance knowledge

About You
Our ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate the following:
- Tertiary degree in relevant field and/or Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40116).
- Demonstrated ability to maintain effective relationships to liaise, consult, influence and facilitate effectively with diverse groups to obtain effective cooperation and contribution from stakeholders.
- Highly developed analytical, conceptual, and written communication skills.
- Proven experience developing training and policy materials.
- Proven experience in contributing to complex projects.
