The opportunity
Hobsons Bay City Council is seeking a proactive and experienced project management professional to help develop, implement, and align the Council Plan 2025–2029 and the Municipal Public Health and Wellbeing Plan 2025–2029, along with other strategic documents. This role is key to integrating these plans into the Council’s internal planning and reporting framework.
This position is available as either full-time or part-time (4 day or 5 days)

What you'll do:
- Carry out tasks from the project plan and manage the Project Control Group (PCG)
- Organise internal engagement and participation activities
- Oversee the public consultation process for the Council Plan, MPHWP, and related documents
- Work with consultants to ensure the plans are well-written, aligned, and reflect community needs
- After the plans are adopted, lead communication, engagement, and continuous improvement efforts
What you'll need to succeed
- Relevant qualifications or significant experience in a similar role
- Ability to stay calm and focused under pressure and meet tight deadlines
- Strong skills in working with various internal and external stakeholders
- Excellent communication, research, analysis, strategic planning, and implementation abilities
- Readiness to jump into the next phase of the project with energy and commitment
- A strong focus on delivering high-quality outcomes for both the community and the organisation
