What you'll be doing

This role will support the implementation, management, monitoring and evaluation of a diverse range of projects, contracts and services to contribute to the achievement of strategic and operational objectives for the Screening and Prevention Division. Manage and contribute to projects and project streams which will vary in nature within the relevant program team, including developing and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders, awarding and managing grants, undertaking initiatives to engage priority populations, and the evaluation of projects, as well as the provision of secretariat services to key program committees.


Remuneration/Benefits

In addition to base salary:

  • 12% superannuation

  • 4 weeks annual leave (plus 17.5% leave loading)

  • 10 days sick leave

  • 40 hours per week which include accrual of monthly Allocated Day Off (ADO) x 12 per year.

Essential requirements

  • Demonstrated experience in program or project management and the application of project management principles and techniques.
  • Tertiary qualifications in an appropriate discipline such as health, public health or health promotion or equivalent, and relevant professional experience and training.

If successful for interview candidates must bring original copies of essential qualifications to be sighted by the panel, and one copy to provide to panel.


Pre-screening questions

  • Provide an example of a quality improvement activity you implemented. Explain how the opportunity was identified, how the quality improvement activity was developed and implemented, and how the results were measured.
  • Provide an example of a key project that you managed, including the tools utilised and process followed.
