Property and Projects Officer

Glamorgan Spring Bay Council is seeking a proactive and organised Property and Projects Officer to support the management of Council’s property portfolio and lead a range of exciting projects that contribute to innovation and continuous improvement across the organisation.
This part-time role (0.8 FTE) is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys variety, values good governance, and has a flair for both detail and innovation.
About the Role:
Working closely with the Director of Planning & Development, you’ll take the lead on:
- Administering leases, licences, and property agreements
- Maintaining statutory registers and ensuring compliance with relevant legislation
- Providing advice on Council-owned and managed land matters
- Coordinating special projects, particularly those involving IT and process improvement
- Supporting the development of policies and streamlined work practices
You’ll be a key point of contact for internal and external stakeholders, playing a crucial role in ensuring Council’s property functions run smoothly and strategically.
What You’ll Bring:
- Relevant qualifications and experience in property, governance, or local government administration
- Strong understanding of legislative frameworks such as the Local Government Act
- A proactive, problem-solving approach to projects and process improvement
- High level of computer literacy and a willingness to explore tech-based solutions
- Great time management and communication skills
- A collaborative attitude and commitment to public service values
- Current driver’s licence
