Current Anaesthesia services provided by our health service include: Cardiology, Dental, ECT, ENT, Paediatrics, Vascular, Orthopaedics, General Surgery, Upper and Lower GI, Diagnostics, MRI, Ophthalmology, Obstetrics, Gynaecology, Urology, Thoracic surgery, Maxillofacial surgery and Interventional Radiology for both elective and emergency procedures.
Subspecialty interest fellowships have specified roles and responsibilities to support the departmental running and interdepartmental networking. Examples include but are not limited to monthly quality and safety updates to the department, weekly Primary and Final exam teaching sessions for trainees, tutorials on regional techniques, service innovation and development, Introductory trainee programme with skills training sessions, coordination of trainee meetings, shared decision making meeting participation, delivering simulation based and multidisciplinary scenario based training. Mentoring opportunities are available, and this can be supported by senior staff. We have an active wellbeing group with many interested team members to learn from and contribute to.
The Department of Anaesthesia and Perioperative Medicine is offering the following fellowships:
General fellowship with a subspeciality interest in allergy
General fellowship with a subspecialty interest in perioperative medicine
General fellowship with a subspecialty interest in regional anaesthesia
General fellowship with a subspecialty interest in airway anaesthesia
General fellowship with a special interest in clinical simulation
General fellowship with a special interest in quality and safety
General fellowship with a special interest in education
General fellowship with a special interest leadership

Salary rates: $4,966.90 - $5,758.70 p.f., employer contribution to superannuation and annual leave loading (17.5%) (L4 - L9) (temporary full-time position, 76 hrs p.f.) for up to 12 months.
