About the Role
We are seeking a dedicated Medical Practitioner to join our Anaesthesia team at The Queen Elizabeth Hospital. In this role, you will manage the care of patients requiring anaesthetic services, working closely with Consultants, Nurses, and Allied Health professionals. Your expertise, gained through completion of the Final Fellowship Examination of the Australian and New Zealand College of Anaesthetists (ANZCA) or an equivalent qualification, will be essential in delivering safe, high-quality care that aligns with our hospital’s values and goals.
Our newly opened Kangkanthi Clinical Services Building, launched in July 2024, features 12 state-of-the-art operating theatres, a 46-bay Emergency Department, a 14-bed Intensive Care Unit, a cardiac catheter lab, procedural suite, endoscopy suite, a comprehensive medical imaging service and ECT suite.

About You
We’re looking for a skilled and dedicated Medical Practitioner ready to deliver exceptional anaesthesia care and collaborate within a dynamic team. You will bring:
Eligibility for registration with the Medical Board of Australia and successful completion of the Final Fellowship Examination of ANZCA (or equivalent) with at least 18 months clinical anaesthesia experience.
A strong commitment to high-quality patient care, professionalism, and active participation in departmental activities.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in multidisciplinary teams and engage with diverse cultures.
Adaptability to change, a cooperative spirit, and dedication to ongoing personal and professional development.
