About the Role:
The Quality Officer role is responsible for the identification, development and implementation of quality and process compliance initiatives across the Building and Plumbing Commission (BPC) in support of organisational objectives. The position has a foundation in Lean process and ISO 9001 Quality Management Systems.
What we are looking for
- Facilitate implementation of improvement opportunities identified from reviews and audits in line with quality standards and KPIs.
- Develop, maintain, and update key compliance monitoring capabilities using MS Sharepoint, MS Forms, Power Automate, Excel, and PowerBI.
- Assist in driving efficiencies and continuous improvement for consumer and practitioner processes and supporting various continuous improvement programs.
- Relevant tertiary qualification (preferred) or equivalent experience, with at least 2 years' experience in Quality, Change, Operations Support, or a related field.
About the BPC
The Building & Plumbing Commission (BPC) is Victoria's new regulator for building and plumbing.
It brings together the Victorian Building Authority (VBA), Domestic Building Dispute Resolution Victoria (DBDRV), and the domestic building insurance function of the Victorian Managed Insurance Authority (VMIA) into one organisation.
Key functions related to building and plumbing regulation will come together under one roof, including registration, inspection and compliance, practitioner discipline, dispute resolution, and domestic building insurance. These services will now part of the BPC and will be fully integrated over the next 12 months.
